Theron's Meat Products in Pretoria West is a family-run business specializing in manufacturing value-added meat products. The success of this family-run business can be attributed to the management's passion for people, the community, and their social awareness. Charity begins at home, and it is essential to the husband and wife team running this business to make their personnel an unbeatable team by instilling family values and exceptional ethics in how they conduct their business. For the past 42 years, the Theron family has focused on manufacturing quality meat products at affordable prices.

This business is unique because the owner, Mr. Dawie Theron, made Theron's Meat Products available to the general man and woman from the street at REAL FACTORY WHOLESALE PRICES! Theron's Meat Products was founded in 1983, and its focus was on manufacturing processed meats to sell to their family chain of butcheries, restaurants, deli outlets, take-away businesses, coffee shops, wholesalers, and supermarkets. This part of the business formed a healthy base, and Theron's meat products became a respected brand. The public took note, and in 1995, after many requests from the public, Mr. Theron decided to help our community by extending these wholesale prices to the public as well!

The requests from the public and entrepreneurs wanting to use Theron's Meat Products as a vehicle to financial freedom are in perfect harmony with our vision to uplift and invest in our people. Small business owners grabbed the opportunity to use Theron's Meat Products' QUALITY sausages, spare ribs, polonies, and cold meat cuts in their shops, food stalls, and small distribution networks in rural areas.

The first “factory shop" was run from the administrative offices on the 3rd floor of a poorly accessable building in the formative years. Orders were placed, paid at the front desk, and then collected through dispatch. In 1999, a small factory shop was established in Elson street on the ground level, and the wider public received the savings enthusiastically!

In November 2009, a new factory shop of world-class standards opened in Mitchell Street, now known as Charlotte Maxeke Street, which became a landmark in Pretoria West.

It is here that the magic happens. Our people are united with each other through sustainable meat products. We are not only feeding bodies, but also the minds and herts of our beloved customers.
